NYSUT RUNS WNY at Bella Rose Winery!

Please join us on Saturday October 24, 2026 for the NYSUT Runs WNY at Bella Rose Winery in Lewiston, New York! Come on out and show your support knowing that net proceeds from the event will benefit Feedmore WNY. Union members, family, friends, and the community at large are all welcome to join the fun!

NYSUT’s nearly 700,000 members are in every city, town and village across New York. They organize and participate in public service, fundraising, and charity initiatives that enrich the lives of their communities and help keep New York healthy and strong. NYSUT Runs New York is a growing community of family 5K events organized and supported by NYSUT local unions.

START/FINISH
OFFICIAL START TIME 5PM: The 5K trail race will start and finish at beautiful Bella Rose Winery and will take participants through the vineyards and on winery trails. Runners will enjoy a scenic view of the Lewiston escarpment and an exciting post-race celebration at Bella Rose. There will be one water station located near the midpoint and bottled water will be provided to participants at the finish line. We will be sure to inform everyone of the trail conditions a few days before the race so you know how to dress on race day!

REGISTRATION & PACKET PICKUP
Online registration will remain open right up until the start of the race. Packet pickup and race day registration will take place at the winery from 4:00pm right up until the start of the race at 5pm. The first 50 people to register will receive a complimentary stemless wine glass and a pour of wine! Optional NYSUT race shirts will be available for purchase from Stuart Sports (LINK TO STORE COMING SOON)

5K Run/Walk Registration: $15/$20 on race day

POST RACE CELEBRATION
After the race participants will enjoy music and excitement at the finish line as runners are announced by name as they complete the race. Light snacks will be provided and there will be food and drink specials available for purchase at the winery throughout the evening. Participants are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes and DJ Q will be providing Halloween themed music along with music from the 90's and 2000's beginning at 7pm for those who want to stay for the big Bella Rose Halloween Party!

PARKING
There will be plenty of parking at the winery with overflow parking on the grass if needed.

AGE GROUPS & AWARDS
Trophies will be presented to the top overall male and female 5K runners. Custom age group certificates and finish line photos will also be made available on the event page after the race.

Age Groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and older.

NYSUT UNION MEMBER CHALLENGE
The school district with the MOST union members participating will be recognized and awarded a special prize. In addition, the school district with the FASTEST union members (average of the 5 fastest runners on the team) will also be recognized at the awards ceremony! Must have a minimum of five runners to qualify for this team award and the bragging rights that go along with it!

CANCELLATION POLICY
There will be no refunds. In the event of foul weather, public safety concerns, or for any other reason deemed necessary by race organizers (ex: state of emergency, etc), we reserve the right to postpone/reschedule the event at our discretion or offer a virtual alternative if necessary.

TIMING & FINISH LINE SERVICES
Professional timing and finish line services using industry leading Jaguar Electronic RFID timing will be provided by Race Management Solutions. Results are updated throughout the race in real time and can be accessed at any time after crossing the finish line using any one of the following options:
